  • thermal underwear “best is merino wool“

  • fleece/wool gloves only in October -March

  • hiking shoes or boots

  • fleece/wool jacket or sweater

  • hand sanitizer

  • headlamp with fresh batteries

  • hiking pants (convertible, quick-dry, lightweight)

  • 2 pairs of wool or synthetic socks

  • insulated jacket (Micro Puffer)

  • bathroom kit

  • trowel, toilet paper, Ziplock bags, wipes, hand cleaner or bidet.

  • prescription medications

  • rain jacket (hooded, lightweight, waterproof, & breathable) October-March

  • rain pants (lightweight, waterproof, & breathable) October-March

  • sleeping bag: 15 degrees to 40 degrees, lightweight, compressible.

  • spork, bowl, & mug

  • sun hat

  • water bottles (two 1-liter) or hydration system with one 1-liter bottle.
